The kpanlogo is a traditional drum of the Ga people, who live in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. More on kpanlogo history >

With a height of about 24 inches and a 10-inch face it resembles the size of the djembe.

The drum is traditionally hand-carved of a single piece of tweneboa wood. The skin of a female antelope is sewn onto wooden pegs and can be tuned by tapping them into the body.

The body is beautified with carved patterns, animals or traditional Adinkra symbols. The wood is nourrished and protected with oils.
