Traditionally, Ewe drums are constructed like barrels and protected with a thick coat of colorful oil paint. (Clear lacquer can be used as an alternative.)
Instead of the barrel-style, you can have your drums carved out of one solid piece of wood if you prefer.
Durable antelope skins are mounted to the drum with pegs.
